Please find outlined below details of 3 MSK Training Courses. These 3 successful courses are held annually in Oxford, Bath and Dubai. There are no entry requirements for the courses as they are all tailored to suit the individual delegate, although delegates wishing to attend the MSK Intervention Course in September would benefit from a knowledge of MSK ultrasound scanning.
1) The 9th MSK Ultrasound Intervention Course, 26-28th September 2016, Bath, UK.
This is a skills course in MSK ultrasound guided injections. There are state of the art ultrasound machines for you to use during the course and representatives of major manufacturers will be present to demonstrate each system’s advantages to those who are interested in hardware purchase. Animal joints are used for some of the sessions and a “blunt” non-invasive demonstration with volunteers for other parts of the training. There will be workshops on the indications, drugs and potential complications. This course is aimed at anyone wanting to gain knowledge of ultrasound guided injections.
2) The 5th MSK Hands-on Ultrasound Course, 16th – 18th January 2017 – Oxford, UK.
3) The 2nd MSK Hands-on Ultrasound Course in Dubai, 4th –6th April 2017, Dubai, UAE.
These are both skills courses in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. The teaching focuses on practical tutorials with small groups of delegates. There are state of the art ultrasound machines for you to use during the course and representatives of major manufacturers will be present to demonstrate each system’s advantages to those who are interested in hardware purchase.
Both of the MSK Hands-on Ultrasound Courses are open to all healthcare professionals who have an interest in using musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Each of the courses are tailored to suit the requirements of the delegates. There are small groups of 4 delegates per tutor per top quality machine and prior to the course delegates are asked to fill out a questionnaire which provides the necessary information to place each delegate into the most suitable group for their skills. Although if, during the course, delegates feel they are not in the correct group then they can be moved to a more suitable group.
The courses offer the following credits for full attendance:
- Royal College of Radiologists 16 category 1 (external) CPD credits.
- 1 credit in Category 2 ESSR Diploma in MSK Radiology.
- 18 points SGR-SSR, Switzerland.
