We have an exciting opportunity for a radiographer who wants to train in Lithotripsy Radiographer in the Midlands.
Salary: £28k-36k as a starting salary depending on experience. Progressing through a scaled system, based on experience, performance and additional responsibility.
Contract type: Annualised working towards an average of a 37-hour week (generally working three long days a week)
Part time/Job Share considered
Working area: Predominantly East Anglia and the Midlands. (try to keep it under 2 hours from home, accommodation provided if working too far from home)
Starting date: ASAP
A Lithotripsy Radiographer will coordinate and deliver a professional Lithotripsy Treatment Clinic, or other shock wave treatments in various hospital theatre and clinic settings.
The radiographer will use a combination of X-ray using a C-Arm and Ultrasound to target kidney stones.
CT, KUB and US Image interpretation essential
Use of C-Arms and Ultrasound (training can be given)
Able to fill in forms and submit electronically
Knowledge of health and Safety practices for the service and/or willingness to undertake training
Knowledge of legislation relevant to specific service role
Knowledge & Experience
Experienced of working within a multi-disciplinary team
Experience of delivering high quality patient care
Experience of dealing with complex situations with a solution-based thinking
This is an excellent position for someone who likes to learn new skills and is happy to travel. The working format is based generally three long days sometimes more, but can give scope for extra time off for someone who likes extended holidays or consecutive days off.
