We are looking for a interim senior operational Manager. To manage at a NHS trust.
The post holder will be the managerial focal point for all cancer related aspects across the Trust and will plan, co-ordinate, manage and develop all aspects of Cancer Services for the Trust in accordance with local and national directives. This will include working closely and supporting responsible Divisional Teams in the achievement of the cancer access targets.
Senior Managerial responsibility for providing a strategic direction and for the development of cancer services within the Trust ensuring the Trust has a cancer strategy that will enable the achievement of the national cancer agenda. Advising the Trust to ensure compliance with the National Cancer Strategy ‘Achieving World Class Cancer Outcomes’ Framework.
Senior manager responsibility for ensuring successful delivery of the annual cancer quality surveillance programme.
As a member of the senior management team, the post holder is responsible for operational day to day running of the cancer services to include Haematology, Oncology, Palliative Care, End of Life Care, Day Therapy Unit and Inpatient Cancer ward. This will be achieved through the continued development of high quality, clinically effective patient centred services, ensuring these are delivered in the most cost efficient manner, through the effective leadership, management and deployment of resources.
Maintaining and developing the existing strong relationships with organisations external to the Trust, particularly the Thames Valley Cancer Alliance, Southwest Regional Cancer Alliance, Commissioners, NHSi, NHSE and other providers and groups such as local Hospices and patient partnership groups.
